Tenth Contaminated Fish Shipment Returned to China |

Busan Customs Quality Control Office announced Wednesday that it had found nails and lead netting sinkers contaminating imported frozen fish from China and had returned all of the shipment to its port of origin. According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the office found a 3cm lead netting sinker weighing 15g and nails in frozen fish imported through Busan on December 13 and ordered all 21 tons returned to China.

Pollack Fishing Quota Down 11,000 Tons |

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries said Sunday that next year`s pollack fishing quota in Russian waters has been confirmed at 25,000 tons, down 11,000 tons from this year, while the quota for cod has been set at 2,500 tons, the same as 2001, and for cuttlefish at 7,300 tons, up 2,300 tons from this year.
